Course description
Spend a week learning the art of hand-cut dovetails in this immersive woodworking course. You’ll learn the essential techniques behind this precision joint—including, measuring, marking, blade sharpening, cutting, sequencing, and chiseling to a line. As you refine your skills, you'll explore different dovetail layouts, be guided through tips and tricks, and gain techniques that apply to all areas of woodworking. You’ll be able to complete a small project such as a box or tray that showcases your craftsmanship and newfound confidence in cutting joinery by hand. Whether you're an experienced woodworker looking to perfect your joinery or a beginner seeking a safe space to explore hand tools, this course offers the opportunity to engage in meaningful hands-on learning with a completed project. All tools and materials will be provided.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a class please let us know right away. If a wait-listed student is ready to take your place we will refund the class minus a 4% cancellation fee to cover our banking costs. Otherwise our cancellation fees are as follows: Classes canceled 5 days or more before start date: Refund minus 10% cancellation fee. Classes canceled less than 5 days before start date: Refund minus 50% cancellation fee. Classes canceled less than 2 days before start date: No Refunds Given.
